Two nights ago, I dreamt that I had a new chapbook accepted for publication. The cover was brown, and the color pink stands out in my memory. I guess that's similar to the chapbook I already have available.
And yesterday afternoon, I received an email saying my poem was accepted to my alma mater's publication. So, in celebration, I registered for my alma mater's writing workshop.
The accepted poem is based on the true story from a few years back; I visited family in Massachusetts for Christmas. Except, all news outlets were saying that there would be no snow. So, I asked my late father for snow as a Christmas present. And on Christmas morning, snow fell and I cried.
The dream and email happened within twenty-four hours, and it was magical.
I plan on self-publishing a chapbook about my hometown later this year. Once I put the first draft of the manuscript together, I'll post a cover reveal on my main blog.
Until then, I'll keep dreaming, literally and figuratively.
